We see plated items sold as solid, replated hallmarks, and coins that are not what the seller believed. Knowing before you sell — or before you buy from someone else — costs you nothing here.

Home valuation visits
Some collections should not be carried through a city centre. For larger estates, house clearances and anyone who would rather not travel with valuables, we come to you.
Visits are arranged by phone and are subject to a minimum value, so call first and we will tell you honestly whether the journey makes sense for both of us.

Cannot get to Leicester, and the collection is too small for a home visit? Send your gold to the shop and we will value it here.
Call before you post anything. We will tell you how to pack it and which postal service to use. When it arrives it is tested and weighed, and we ring you with a figure. You decide whether to sell.

Jewellery repair
Snapped chains, worn claws, sized rings, replaced clasps and re-threaded pearls. Most repairs are straightforward and quicker than people expect.
Bring the piece in and we will tell you what it needs, what it will cost and when it will be ready before any work starts.
