The shop is new. The experience behind it is not: close to ten years buying and trading gold, first in London, then in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, and now over the counter in Leicester.
That matters most when you are selling something you have never sold before. You will be told what you have, how the figure was reached, and what the piece would be worth if it were not scrapped.
